But, to say that it is an insult is just like telling gay men and women that they can't call each other queers or black people calling each other the "N" word. I can't say that it doesn't bother me a little but it's just for us to call each other fatties. It should be taken as an insult when someone who isn't "FAT" to call us fat or fatties. That is just my opinion.

uniqueidfashionistas.blogspot.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8728735157965610424.post-307671459630493532010-04-09T17:58:59.295+10:002010-04-09T17:58:59.295+10:00off the topic of political correctness. can you te...off the topic of political correctness. can you tell me where you got that dress i know its not city chic but it is super cute!!?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8728735157965610424.post-41931644807025724572010-03-29T15:15:26.553+11:002010-03-29T15:15:26.553+11:00I agaree with "The Tomorrow Girl" there ...I agaree with "The Tomorrow Girl" there are plenty of us who are over weight and know it. Since getting this job with City Chic I have done a lot of research on the fatshion blogosphere and have noticed a trend, that the word fat doesn't have to be seen as negative at all, that people want to reclaim the word and say, yes I am fat and I am ok with that. So I think the term fatties is ok if you read it with that understanding. There will always be people who don't like or feel comfortable with this idea, but I for one am proud to be curvy and definitely ok with being called fat.Fashion Hayleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05796442646636544992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8728735157965610424.post-26487367048368251292010-03-24T17:45:08.047+11:002010-03-24T17:45:08.047+11:00Hayley, Im a reader of your other blog too and jus...Hayley, Im a reader of your other blog too and just want to say that you dont have to bring yourself aswell as your blog readers down by calling quote "us fatties."unquote.
Just because we may be larger than what is considered the norm,
doesnt mean we have to use the term "fatties".
I have more self respect than that.
Your work is fantastic so dont bring yourself down to a degrading level.the tomorrow girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04642280692754010034noreply@blogger.com
