Snow Bunny

I haven't been to the snow in years and years, so when Victoria had a sudden cold snap last week with a good dumping of snow predicted in the mountains I decided to head up with a friend for a fun day playing around in the snow. Yes, it does really snow in Australia, not in the cities, but this was just an hour and half drive from Melbourne (only we got lost and it took us about four hours to get there #oops) at Mount Donna Buang. Honestly it was so breathtakingly beautiful I wondered why I hadn't made the trip up in so long. I actually really want to go again, thanks to getting so lost we didn't end up having much time up there, and now I know the way there really is no excuse. My friend who drove me up and I were saying how we never really explore our own backyard and we really should do it more often.

I went with a dusty pink and maroon colour palette for my snow look. I wore a thermal top under my dress for added warmth, then layered over the City Chic maroon jumper which I tied in a knot at the waist and the stunning City Chic faur fur coat to finish it off. I was very warm and toasty but still looked cute which was my goal.

My new pink backpack was very handy.

My tootsies stayed nice and dry thanks to my glitter jelly Chelsea boots.

Have you been to the snow this winter? Did you know it snowed in Australia?
