I'm the first to admit that a playsuit can be an intimidating item. There's a balance of length, fit, and print that need to come together in perfect harmony for a playsuit to work out. For me, that balance is strapless but floaty, waist definition, conservative hemline, with a fun and flattering print.
I love the City Chic Amazonia playsuit because it manages to fulfill every one of those requirements. The fabric is light and airy (great for those higher temperatures) but the shorts have a lining that add enough weight that I never feel uncomfortable. The drawstring at the bust and waist allow me to adjust and tweak for the perfect fit.
I threw the Amazonia playsuit on after an afternoon at the pool to grab drinks with my husband and some friends. To amp up the gorgeous Hawaiian print, I grabbed my mini bag by Rebecca Minkoff - the neon is the perfect complement. And to make my legs look miles and miles long, I went with a pair of nude Gucci espadrilles.
Do you wear playsuits? What are your rules for the perfect one?
Until next time, stay chic!
