Asha's Fruity Smoothie

Hey Guys,

After being sick for the last week I really felt like a fresh and nutritious pick me up. There’s so many great vitamins and minerals in fruit and vegetables and blending them together makes it easy to consume heaps of them.

Smoothies are great because you can add almost anything you have in your fridge or pantry. I had bananas, pears, apples, oranges, cucumber and mixed lettuce leaves so I thought I’d use a bit of everything and get a nice variety of vitamins.


Ingredients
½ banana
½ apple
½ orange
½ pear
5cm piece of cucumber
2 cups mixed lettuce leaves
1-1.5 cups water
 

Roughly chop fruit and cucumber.


Place in the blender with mixed leaves and 1 cup water.


Blend for 1-2 minutes or until smooth.


Add extra water if needed, depending how thick you want your smoothie.


Enjoy the delicious fruity goodness :)
