Personal Styling Sessions at City Chic Bourke Street

I recently hosted another series of in store personal styling sessions at City Chic's Flagship Bourke Street store in Melbourne. They're always a lot of fun for me as I love meeting the women and seeing their journey from the beginning being scared of certain colours, shapes or styles to then seeing them leave the store so happy with newfound confidence.

Personal Styling sessions are a great way to learn about what style's, shapes and colours suit you and just having someone who knows exactly how you feel when it comes to whatever body issues you may have because I am in the same boat as a plus size woman myself. I'm able to help you navigate those fears you have as most likely I've been there too, whether it's showing a bit of arm or leg I understand it all. It's a unique perspective as a stylist and one of the things I really try to emphasise in these sessions is just how everyone has these hang ups but there are ways to dress so that you're comfortable in yourself but also dressing without that fear makes you look more confident and in turn helps build that confidence in you. Honestly these sessions are a little bit like therapy - in a good way!

Angelica ringing up her purchases.

Yummy and cute little cupcakes!

Matching!

Super cute, that shirt is a winner on Montana don't you think? Thanks to the placement of the sheer lower panel the line it gives  helps to add definition to the waist and the tunic length makes it great with a pair of skinny jeans.

The Miss Mod Dress turned out the be the perfect first date dress for Melanie! The print placement on the dress is ingenious, the horizontal stripes help to define your curves in all the right places. It's a myth that horizontal stripes are a big no-no for plus size women, they actually look amazing on!

Melanie shopped up a storm!

Melanie was really happy with how her session went with her fab new purchases, she wrote on facebook just how much she enjoyed her experience. Seeing that made my day.

Hopefully you can have the chance to book in for a personal styling session near you soon. Keep an eye out for any future dates on the City Chic facebook page
