Personal Styling In Store at City Chic Bourke Street

Last weekend I hosted some fabulous Personal Styling sessions in store at City Chic's Bourke Street flagship store which was very exciting. I've worked freelance as a stylist for the past five years styling everyone from Miranda Kerr to bands for the ARIA's as well as for magazines and print ads but some of my favourite styling moments come from my everyday personal styling clients. Helping someone discover their own personal style and to come out of their shell and get out of their own style rut is a very rewording experience. So I was very excited to meet my first City Chic personal styling clients and see what we could do together. Of course I wore head to toe City Chic on the day, in my personal favourite outfit of the moment - this oh so fab and flattering peplum top and pencil skirt combo.

Waiting by the change rooms to meet my first personal styling customer of the day.

Champagne and nibbes for guests on arrival.

 Delicious cup cakes #nomnom!

Here I am with the lovely Evelyn who was in town down from Darwin. In my initial consultation I like to find out a little bit about your lifestyle and why you wanted to book a personal styling session. This is where you get to tell me what you want from your personal styling session. Are you looking to update your work wardrobe, learn how to embrace colour or are you looking for something for that special occasion coming up or even all of the above? Well I can help!

Evelyn and I considering the options. Evelyn was after an updated casual wardrobe for weekend lunches with her mum.

As well as the perfect dress for Christmas party season. Her mum just loved this dress too.

The perfect casual dress for those hot and balmy Darwin days.

Champagne for breakfast, why not?

A new season's wardrobe in just under half an hour.

Ringing up her purchases.

Leaving the store with a big smile is just what I want to see.

Both mother and daughter shopped up a storm!

Selina and I checking out the colourful options as she wanted to move away from defaulting to wearing head to toe black all the time.

This dress was a winner on Selina. The bright orange really suited her colouring and she felt amazing in it which is the most important thing!

Lots and lots of new colourful pieces all perfect for summer.

I loved helping Selina find a whole new and bright look, it was so much fun.

Stacy and I were dress twins in the new Zip Front Festival dress. She looked amazing in it, so happy she decided to buy it too.

Stacy has her sisters beach wedding coming up and wanted a dress that was classy and elegant yet still light enough for the beach setting. This dress just looked so perfect on her. The shape flattered her figure perfectly making her feel more confident and sexy which was the goal. A total winner!

More happy smiles.

Renee looked simply stunning in this floral dress. Renee wanted a rockabilly look to her wardrobe update and with some heels and red lips this dress has the perfect vintage vibe.

Arwen with her many shopping bags full of great buys.

Arwen was a total delight to style, so lovely.

Michaela needed a dress to wow for her husbands work Christmas party and this was the winner. How amazing does she look?

Smiles all around as she finished up her shopping.

Thanks so much to the fabulous staff at City Chic's Bourke Street store who without all their help on the day this wouldn't have been possible or nearly as successful. Great work guys!

Would you like to attend a Personal Styling session with me at City Chic in the future? Let me know in the comments below and hopefully we can make it happen.
