Party Season Dressing

With party season fast approaching I've been on the look out for the perfect pieces to get me through the never ending list of work, Christmas and blogger functions I've been invited to. Party dressing is all about bold statement making pieces with that little bit of flair - be it some sparkly sequins or luxe lace. So as soon as I saw the sexy Boudoir peplum top with it's extravagantly bold lace print, sequin detailing and strappy bodice I knew it was the perfect addition to my seasonal wardrobe. The perfectly matched Dominatrix skirt was a no brainer really, it just looks so amazing with that top I just had to grab it - you'd be silly not to really. The great thing about both these pieces though is that they are separates, meaning I can mix and match them with pieces from my own wardrobe to create multiple looks that will see me through the entire silly season, one party at a time.

I love how sexy the double straps are at the bust - for me they help give the illusion of a fuller bust which I adore as it makes me feel so much sexier!

The lace print on the bodice is simple stunning and the addition of sequins add that wow factor that party season is all about.

Jewellery wise I kept it fairly simple (for me) and went with classic gold pieces. My little black quilted clutch with hand strap and gold piping and hardware is a cute vintage number I've had for a while.

Holla booty! You can see why they call this the Dominatrix skirt - that rear zipper and split is just about as sexy as they come.

Yes, I am forever in wedges and platforms, they are my shoe of choice. The honest truth is I can't stand to walk in heels the pain is just too great so I think to myself why not be comfortable and enjoy myself at the party dancing up a storm instead of hobbling around? Viva the platform I say!

Have you found the perfect pieces for party season yet? Have you tried on or bought the Boudoir top or Dominatrix skirt? Do you love them as much as I do? What are your tips for getting through the endless parties unscathed? Let me know in the comments below.
