Asha's Guilt Free Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Hey Guys!

Everybody loves indulging in rich chocolaty desserts but they can be full of processed sugars and unhealthy ingredients. My guilt free chocolate mousse is filled with only natural, healthy ingredients and you won’t even taste the difference. The secret ingredient is avocado. Ok, I know this sounds crazy but I promise you won’t even know it’s in there and the taste is amazing!! Trust me.

This recipe is gluten free, dairy free, egg free, nut free and absolutely delicious.

3 tbsp coconut oil
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp instant coffee granules
50g dark chocolate (preferably 70% cocoa)
12 medjool dates, seeds removed
2 large ripe avocados, seeds and skin removed
¼ cup coconut milk
4 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla

Fill a small saucepan 1/3 of the way up with water and bring to the boil, then turn down to a simmer. Add oil, cocoa powder, chocolate and coffee to a medium sized bowl and place bowl over simmering water.

Stir occasionally and allow ingredients to melt and combine. Set aside to cool slightly.

In a food processor, combine dates, avocado, coconut milk, maple syrup and vanilla. Process until smooth.

Add chocolate mixture and blend until combined. Spoon mixture into bowls and allow to set in the fridge for 4 hours.

Decorate with fruit and shredded coconut to serve.

This recipe is so easy to make and you feel great knowing you’re only putting healthy foods into your body. If you make this recipe at home send me a photo, I’d love to see your creations! Contact me at
