CC TV - Stir It Up Reggae Festival

Dox Entertainment proudly and successfully presented Stir It Up, Australia's biggest Reggae (and Urban/Polynesian) Music Festival. The festival was held on the 2nd January 2014 at Merrylands RSL Club Rugby Park and showcased local and international Reggae artists and upcoming talent.

The event was suitable for the whole family and people of all ages. It featured amazing Reggae music as well as delicious food stalls, cultural arts from Jamaica and the Pacific plus Reggae clothing and apparel.

Stir It Up had nothing but royal class acts, featuring Julian Marley (the son of the Legendary Bob Marley), King of Polynesian Reggae Music George 'Fiji' Veikoso (above), Island Reggae singer/songwriter SWISS (right), Island Reggae/RnB Band Brownhill and many more artists that graced the stage with their crowd captivating performances.

There was an amazing vibe amongst the crowd as they danced and sang along to the performances and it was refreshing to see the artists interact with the crowd too. The event also had Polynesian dancers entertaining the crowds with dance routines from Fiji, Tahiti and Tonga.

Head lining artist, Julian Marley, brought the Marley magic to the stage and put everyone into a groovy frenzy performing his songs as well as his father's songs. While performing you could see that the apple did not fall far from the tree with Julian performing with such an amazing presence, anyone could have mistaken Julian for Bob Marley himself.

I wore the eye-catching City Chic Printed One Shoulder Dress in Super Orchid, which received many compliments throughout the day and was extremely comfortable and a delight to wear. It gave me the confidence I needed to be in front of the crowd and to rub shoulders with Reggae and Island Reggae royalty.

Hair and Make-Up was done by the skilled Angelina Crichton, founder of Strictly-Stylin. She recommended a natural make-up look to enhance my features and a stylish low bun to show off the one shoulder dress.

Massive thanks to DJ Peter Gunz (above right with Brother D left and myself) founder of Dox entertainment for organising such an incredible event.

I had an amazing time at this exciting, entertaining and fun festival.

Did you attend the Stir It Up festival?
We would love to hear about it and what artists you enjoyed the most!
