Travel Diary - Adelaide

I get to travel a lot for work for which I'm very grateful for. Most recently I visited the city of churches - Adelaide, and fell in love with the unique charm of the city. From the amazing vintage stores full of one off treasures to the fresh local produce, Adelaide impressed me on all levels. I stumbled upon this amazing antiques market in the heart of the city, just near Chinatown and Adelaide Central Market. It's a must visit for anyone thinking of visiting Adelaide or any locals who haven't been. Full to the brim with all kinds of vintage finds - from toy cars and lamps to 1950s purses and antique wedding gowns. Your eyes just don't know where to look because there is just so much to look at, so you're sure to find something you love. Set over two levels with vintage clothes on the top floor you can spend hours just browsing the many racks and shelves.

Adelaide Central Market is any at home gourmet chef's fresh produce heaven! You can find everything from the most amazing local artisan cheeses to fresh bread and beautiful flowers - a foodie's paradise and a must visit if you're in town.

An up and coming street to check out is Queen Street in Croydon just outside the city centre. Full of hip new cafes and vintage boutiques in quaint renovated cottages I loved exploring all the street had to offer.

Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills is about a 40 minute drive from the city and is totally worth a visit if you get the chance. As Australia's oldest surviving German settlement it feels like you've stepped into Europe, although a slightly hotter Europe. German food such as kransky's are to be found and of course German beer but also some nice quaint bakeries and handmade candle shops.

I always love to visit City Chic stores in other cities and I must say the staff at the Rundle Mall City Chic were amazing! Star staffers Daniella and Libby made my visit to their store extra sweet, going above and beyond in their customer service. Such a great shopping experience.

Of course they also inflated my ego by showing me the staff room inspiration board that featured little ol' me. Definitely a first - seeing myself on an inspiration board, never in my life did I think that would happen. So thank you City Chic Rundle Mall for making me day/week/month/year with that wall.
