Sequins By Day

A friend of mine is studying a fashion business course at a fashion school which just so happens to be in my street which has meant catching up for weekly lunch dates. As a freelancer who works from home it's nice to get out of the house sometimes on a work day. It's very true that when working from home you can end up in a bit of a rut, both socially and style wise. With no one to talk to throughout the day (except on twitter or facebook - which really don't count) and no one to impress with outfits you can end up spending days at a time in the same pyjamas, and it can be hard to break the cycle, especially with deadlines looming. So I'm loving having an excuse to dress up during the week and get out into the world. Having a good old fashioned gossip with my gay bff is another bonus of the weekly luncheons. I'm actually about to meet up with him after I finish writing this post, we're aiming to try all the cafe's in the area and today we're heading to a new ramen place that just opened up, can't wait!

What I wore last week
Leather Biker Jacket Vintage
Peplum Top City Chic Wet Look Peplum Top
Sequin Skirt City Chic Sequin Love Skirt
Tights City Chic 80 Denier Opaque Tights
Sunglasses Karen Walker
Bag Fashiondacci

I am still obsessed with my Karen Walker sunnies, I think they really suit my face, more so than any other pair of sunglasses I have tried. Big frames for the win!

I love the versatile nature of this sequin skirt, you can dress it down for day like I have done here, or dress it up for night by adding a clutch and some sky high heels. As soon as my gay bff saw me in this he swooned, so if my gay bff approved of it you know you're onto a winner.
