Lace on Sale

These two amazing City Chic lace dresses are both now only $40.00 AUD. The blue version of the Lacey Dress is one of my all time favourites so all I can say is jump online and grab yourself a bargain!!!

Here I am in my blue version of the City Chic Lacey Dress with my new flower crown I picked up on a recent trip back to Melbourne. Spring has definitely sprung in Sydney, the weather was just so lovely today and I was luckily at a business lunch right on the harbour to really soak it all in.

 I'm a big lover of vintage bags, and this vintage Moschino bag has fast become my daily go to as it not only fits all my crap including my big slr camera, it is also tres chic!

Yes I'm still loving socks with sandals, I don't think my obsession will ever end. These are my new jelly heels which have been the most comfortable pair of heels I have ever owned, I now want them in every colour.

Whilst in Melbourne I got my nails done by the talented Clara H Nails who specialises in crazy Japanese nail art. This time the theme was 'Under the Sea' and my nails feature shells, mermaid skeletons, coral, starfish and glitter fish scales. So totally O.T.T. but so me!

Have you got in on the lace trend? Are you obsessed with nail art right now? Let me know in the comments below.

Hello Spring

Spring has finally arrived and so begins the season that's full of dates at the races, picnics with friends in gorgeous gardens, and lounging pool side in preparation for Summer. City Chic have just released their newest collection bringing out; cute dresses, colours, swimwear, and florals that are perfect for any event you have on your Spring calendar. Here are three of my favourite looks for my favourite Spring occasions;

Spring Racing Carnival:

City Chic have taken their famous 'Skater' dress and added a cut out on the top of the cleavage giving it a sexy edge. Teaming this gorgeous dress with silver accessories and a red or black fascinator, you will be sure to turn heads.

Picnics:

I absolutely love going on picnics with my friends in Spring, the days are warmer but still cool and the gardens and parks are so beautiful. I always look for an outfit that's stylish but most importantly, is comfortable enough to be sitting on a picnic blanket in for hours. I love the print on this top, it is colourful but not too out there. I have shied away from wearing pants in the past but this year I am all about trying new things, I think the length is perfect for a first time 'short wearer'.

Pool Side:

Unfortunately for me, I don't have a pool at home, so I try to sneak off to my Grandma's house to get a little sun on my days off. The water is usually too cool to go in further than knee deep but I just love sitting beside the pool with a Magazine on a warm Spring day. I am still learning to embrace my curvier body in a Swimsuit without boardies but, I am so in love with the Riviera one piece that I feel it just needs to be show off. It is an extremely flattering swimsuit and the addition of underwire gives you some extra comfort. I am absolutely in love with the Knit tie die kaftan, I need to make it mine. It is perfect for when the days begin to cool down and you need to slip on something light.

Which City Chic item would you wear to your favourite Spring event?

A Current Affair - Full Figure Fashion

Did you happen to watch A Current Affair last night? If you did you would have seen me and fellow bloggers Bronny from Fat Aus and Caitlin from Closet-Confessions talking all things plus size and fashion. They interviewed us all last week, the reporter, Laura Tunstall, was absolutely lovely. You never know with these types of shows how they will edit it, but the final piece was very positive and we all looked fabulous. I did talk about City Chic a fair bit in my actual interview (as I was asked where I do most of my shopping and where I would recommend other plus size women to shop), but that was all cut out in the end but I did manage to wear my favourite City Chic neon pink sheer shirt dress (above) and it looked so good on TV its even more of a favourite piece now, haha.

Watch it and let me know your thoughts in the comments below xoxo
