How did you get involved with plus size modelling?
I actually started in pinup, along the way through working with plus size designers I've broken into the industry and started making a name for myself. People find me online, through friends or folios and I have been really lucky. I've always been a fan of everything from couture to mainstream and I'm trying to make sure curvy plus girls can model such things too.
What is your fave part of the job?
Showing women with my shape just how fantastic they can look, plus getting to wear amazing garments and accessories.
Any tips for girls who want to break into the industry?
Work hard on a folio, if you struggle to find people who will take some basic images join model mayhem and look for TFP (time for print) shoots for folio building. Never limit yourself and always be a chameleon. Never give up, learn from critics and always be creative.
What is your fave piece from the City Chic store right now?
Right now I'm so in love with the Diamond Stitch High Waist Skinny Jean. They are the perfect fit for my shape and I adore them! I actually wore them in the Fashion Journal shoot.
Why did you want to be involved with the Fashion Journal shoot?
I wanted to see someone of a larger size in Fashion Journal, a plus size women fantastic, fashion forward and showing the world that curves are amazing. I've never seen anyone who is a size 16 in the publication and being a part of this editorial makes me proud. Plus working with the whole team, that was a something I could not pass by!
